Editorial policy
Rural Culture Guide aims to publish clear, considered writing about rural culture. We explain what is known, make uncertainty visible and keep editorial decisions separate from commercial relationships.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against suitable material and give context where a custom or practice varies by place or community. We do not turn a single example into a claim about all rural life. If evidence is incomplete or accounts differ, the wording should make that clear rather than smoothing the difference away.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for reader interest and subject relevance. Any paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial approval.
Corrections
If you notice a factual error, missing context or unclear wording, please use the Contact page and describe the passage and concern. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making the change clear where the correction is significant.
Images and illustrations
Images should suit the subject and avoid implying that an illustrative scene documents a particular event or community when it does not. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; these are identified as such where used, and are not presented as documentary photographs.
